This is a short film of a much bigger story. Seventeen Lebanese housewives, united by the work that they do at Souk El Tayeb and Tawlet, were invited to cook lunch for 600 of the top chefs and foodies in the world during the annual food event of MAD Symposium in Copenhagen.

Kamal is often called ‘food activist’, a food writer; he was struck by the situation of the regional farmers during the last war. Creating ‘Souk El Tayeb’-a weekly makeshift farmers market (an NGO), he invited the organic farmers to sell there, giving Lebanon’s food traditions a human face.
